To begin, find out how your body is functioning right now. Run through each of the physiology questions and answer them to the best of your ability.

• What is the position of my body?
• Am I moving or still? How so?
• What are the positions of my arms, legs, hands, and feet?
• Is my heartbeat in my conscious awareness? If so, is it fast or slow, strong or weak?
• Is my breathing rapid, slow, even, uneven, shallow, or deep?
• Am I breathing from the upper part, middle, or bottom of my lungs?
• Which of my muscles are in use? Which are relaxed? How in use or relaxed are they?

Once you have determined the answers to these questions, you can change your state using Expansion and Contraction Breathing and run through the physiology modeling questions again, noting any changes that have occurred.

1. Mindfulness Meditation- Observe your surroundings. Use your sense of smell, touch, sight, listen, taste. This can be done anywhere at anytime to allow you to be in the moment. Pause. Just be.
2. Breath Awareness- Bring your attention to your breath. Observe how you breath. Observe the breathing muscles. Notice what happens when you Inhale. Notice the Exhale.
The Complete Breath: Inhale belly, rib cage chest rises. Exhale: chest, rib cage belly moves in towards your spine.
3. Body Awareness-Bring your attention to your body. Scan your body from the crown of your head to your toes. Then scan back up the body from the toes to the crown. Continue staying present in your body. Scanning. Breathing slowly and deeply. Try noticing areas of resistance or tension without judgement. Exhale your breath into these areas. Send love to these areas.
4. Tuning in-Bring your attention to the subtle energy your body has. Notice the energy pulling your up thorough your crown. Notice the energy pulling you down and rooting you to the earth. Connect with this energy.
5. Third Eye- Intuition and messages are seen through the 3rd eye. Bring a gentle focus in-between the eyes. Breath into this space. Open this space. Explore this space. Create your vision. Create your reality. Hear your message.
6. Gratitude- Bring your focus to your heart centre. The real brain of your body. Notice the vibrations. Notice your frequency. Allow the vibration to move into gratitude. Bring your mind to something you feel truly grateful for. Hold that thought until your whole body feels this vibration.

Try each of these techniques for 5 min for a total of 30 min of meditation.
Use one technique daily for 5-10min.

We really are a lightning rod for what our life looks like. Every thought creates the energy that manifests what surrounds us. A book that helps shine some insight onto this philosophy and way of living is called “The Law of Attraction” by Esther and Jerry Hicks. Below is some of the content that helps us move forward and overcome disappointment.

How can a person overcome disappointment?

For the individual who is trying to make a severe switch in the positive direction of their prosperity or their health, if they already had a momentum factor going on the other way, how much faith or belief would it require for them to overcome their disappointment and say “Well, I know this is going to work out for me,” even though it hasn’t worked yet?

You see, from your point of disappointment, you are attracting more disappointment. We have a choice to change our disappointment into a moment of understanding and learning or to keep our thoughts in disappointment. Rewiring the language in our brain takes practice and dedication.

If you wonder if you might be of this distinct soul lineage, here are a few traits which may feel familiar.

You were born feeling special and know it.
You are confident and even arrogant at times – and emboldened by something larger than you can name.
This can make for a challenging relationships and interactions. You see only the best and expect others to live up to it. Toward yourself, you can be unrelentingly self critical.
Indigos see the world differently. Coupled with innate-self assurance, you often think your way is right and are offended if others cannot see, much less take action, on your point of view. If Indigos ruled the world, you are confident no problems would exist.
You are not one to negotiate, so certain in your views and ways, you are often rebellious and critical of those in power.
Difficult and rigid systems seem foolish to you and you often become antagonistic to what others experience as normal.
Musically and artistically gifted, your art invites others to see the world around through your eyes.
Your perception on the failings of society is so keen that you are a magnificent leader, offering better methods of business, society and ways of being.
You feel out of place with others as you recognize you are different than most people. You can tend toward being a loner or rebel, unwilling to compromise just to fit in.
As the Indigo soul mission is encoded in your very being, you are unwilling to back down from confronting what feels out of integrity.
While fiery temperaments may be hard to take, you are not one to be still or silenced.
Without any need for development, your psychic capacity is finely tuned. While you see nothing special in your ability, it gives you an advantage in reading others with ease and seeing through masks.
Coupled with their big-picture vision and restless soul drive for change, you become easily frustrated with society and others who are not shifting quickly enough. Patience is something that should be developed.

Not everyone born of this generation carries this new blueprint. The early few were known as “scouts,” testing out the climate to see if more souls could be ushered in. Nor should we assume being an Indigo is something to be idealized. Far from it! Beyond the responsibility such a distinction will carry, we have also witnessed the drive of the Indigos to be paralyzing at times.
Indigo children are destined to make changes, to challenge society and to be loud in what they see as the flaws in the system. When this mission is complete, they have to shift life purpose quite drastically. Those who are thrown off their life path early, that is to say their push for progress is thwarted or forgotten, often turn in on themselves.
We have witnessed many Indigos deep in depression, addictions and even suicide. So strong is this governing battering ram, it can turn inward when they are unable to create the changes they are adamant need to be made. The worst outcome for an Indigo is to be ignored or mocked… for their perception is hawk-like and they are able to foresee the pitfalls and are compelled to drive change at massive levels.
Of the most blessed attributes of the Indigo Children is their integrity. They carry it within and can sense when others are dishonest. They may not always see this as a gift, for the world can be corrupt and indifferent. However, they carry a deep knowing they are “right” even though, if pressed, they may not be able to explain their assuredness.

What is insight? Insight is a view into our life or others lives. Usually when we define insight we are looking at the future. We create a picture from our past experiences and present energy. This picture is insight. This insight gives us information on how to move forward. Insight helps our ego manage in real time and come up with solutions to moving forward.

We can tune our insight to become more aligned with our higher self by using our gift of intuition. That feeling in our gut. That feeling we use to navigate our true path. When we lack insight we are lacking intuition. Our view is hard to see and our movement becomes resistant and we find more blocks in our path.

Exploring boundaries is an important part of finding and navigating your highest vibration. Here the types of boundaries that exist in our human potential.

To read the full article

Types of Boundaries

There are several areas where boundaries apply:

Material boundaries determine whether you give or lend things, such as your money, car, clothes, books, food, or toothbrush.

Physical boundaries pertain to your personal space, privacy, and body. Do you give a handshake or a hug – to whom and when? How do you feel about loud music, nudity, and locked doors?

Mental boundaries apply to your thoughts, values, and opinions. Are you easily suggestible? Do you know what you believe, and can you hold onto your opinions? Can you listen with an open mind to someone else’s opinion without becoming rigid? If you become highly emotional, argumentative, or defensive, you may have weak emotional boundaries.

Emotional boundaries distinguish separating your emotions and responsibility for them from someone else’s. It’s like an imaginary line or force field that separates you and others. Healthy boundaries prevent you from giving advice, blaming or accepting blame. They protect you from feeling guilty for someone else’s negative feelings or problems and taking others’ comments personally. High reactivity suggests weak emotional boundaries. Healthy emotional boundaries require clear internal boundaries – knowing your feelings and your responsibilities to yourself and others.

Sexual boundaries protect your comfort level with sexual touch and activity – what, where, when, and with whom.

Spiritual boundaries relate to your beliefs and experiences in connection with God or a higher power.

If you have ever been in physical pain you know how much energy it takes from you. Recently, I hurt my back and over the last few weeks the pain has been taking a lot of my energy and focus. When so much of our focus goes towards pain we begin to shut down parts of our brain. We are unable to function as the pain begins to run our life, our feelings, our body. For many we turn to medication or drugs to move our focus else where and give us some instant relief. This may be necessary but the gains are only short term. Pain can be our greatest teacher if we allow ourselves to open up and really see what is behind the pain. Pain is a trigger caused by our nervous system. Our bodies command system letting us know that something is not in balance. In order to regain our balance we need to find the root cause of the pain not just where the physical pain is coming from but how did it manifest. This is no easy task and requires a lot of internal refection and sitting with the pain allowing it to be what it is. Following our patterns that are deeply rooted. This is the journey and what we learn on the way is life.

The spiritual road is a never-ending path. When we embark on our spiritual journey we are in it for the long run. The highs and the lows that accompany it. We often hear how amazing it is when we finally see and feel the light within us but there is also a dark side. We must feel both to understand and balance our human form. The light side is uplifting, expanding, opening and flowing but is very hard to consistently stay in this light without complete devotion. Without devotion, we fall into the dark side where our feelings of insecurity, fear and pain reside. For many this dark side is a temporary path to see and open more light within ourselves. Many of us stay away from spirituality and devotion because to open this light side we must face our dark side and this can be a truly painful experience. Remembering we always have the light and the tools to bring us back is part of getting lost on this journey. Some tools that can help us when we are in the dark side are finding ways to ground to the earth. Feeling connected to the earth helps the light come back in.

Opening the body is an important process. When we are open we are receiving verses when our body is closed it is shut down and does not receive. There are many ways in which we can open our bodies. For us we use breath work which is a part of yoga. Our breath is our link to our body and our exhale can create space. When we unlearn breathing which many of us do as we move from birth and breathing correctly to getting older and falling into bad habits such as holding our breath or creating tension in our breath. When we begin to breath again our bodies begin to expand and open. Here is a breathing exercise we do to help our bodies open before a yoga practice.

Expansion Breath
1. Find a supported seated position
2. Allow your hands to rest naturally on your knees
3. Begin by just noticing your breathing in your body
4. When you are ready begin to make your exhale two counts longer then your inhale. For example inhale for a count of 5 and exhale for a count of 7. Please do not force your breath if it feels tense or tight just go back to noticing your breath in your body.
5. Once you have a comfortable longer exhale start to send this exhale into parts of your body that feel closed. Just by bring the breath awarness to these areas you feel closed will help expand and open space for healing.

Do this exercise for at least 10 min or until you feel open.

We recently wrote a blog on contraction and expansion. In all of our choices we want to choose the ones that create expansion. Here is a list of ways you can choose to expand yourself. These are great tools if you are feeling in a bad mood or angry and hurtful (contracted state) to move yourself into a more expansive state. Remember we always have a choice.

1. Trees- Trees supply us with oxygen. They can offer us stability, beauty and breath.
2. Watch a Sunrise or Sunset- The sun gives us enormous amounts of energy and light. Adding some light to your contracted state will help your expansion.
3. The Stars- Watching the night sky can uplift and expand
4. Music- The sounds and frequency of music can expand
5. Laugh- Try laughing at yourself when you find yourself in a contracted state. It is hard to be angry and laugh at the same time.

All of these things are life-enhancing energies. Just spending a few seconds experiencing one of these will help expand your energy.
