In my new self study I am exploring the native sacred teachings. Each day I explore different words and tools our ancestors have used and developed over time. The native teaching all derive from our mother earth, grandfather sun, and grand mother moon. We look to nature as our healing guide. We ask, listen and learn from every living thing on this earth.
Kokopelli is a fertility deity, usually depicted as a humpbacked flute player (often with feathers or antenna-like protrusions on his head), who has been venerated by some Native American cultures in the Southwestern United States. Like most fertility deities, Kokopelli presides over both childbirth and agriculture.
This teaching represents our planting seeds of the future. In order for these seeds to grow we need to help lay a fertile ground for them to grow. Trust our talents to create new opportunity to grow.
