When the dodo bird is in your awareness trust your vision. They are a sign that we are opening up to our visions and that we can trust the process.

It is through wisdom and experience that feathers are earned. When we earn our feathers our angles are near and rewarding us for our discipline and knowledge. Next time you see a feather if you feel called to pick it up, reflect on what you did to earn that feather.

When a cricket pays you a visit you are connecting to abundance and good fortune is about to pay you a visit. When you save a circuit you are granted a gift. Crickets are also used as a source of sound meditation for early morning awakening. The key to opening these paths and gift of the animal world are that your path and gift serve others not just yourself.

When we move away from our bodies it can feel very liberated or very scary. For many of us that have suffered abuse and trauma moving out of our bodies was a way to protect ourselves.  It is important after an experience like this that we move back into our bodies. If we do not we are left open and that can be to much for the body and mind to handle.

When our energy lifts or moves out of our body is what is happening in this type of experience. We feel light, very alert, hypersensitive, we often have lots of visions, thoughts and stories happening. We have a hard time being still if we are awake and upright.

Sometimes we feel like our feet are not on this earth. We feel carried away by the current of life. Racing thoughts, Fast heartbeat, Moving body, in ability to slow down. When we are outside of our bodies we are less clear. Our decisions are not made in grounded state so they are less likely to move us forward but rather put us back. Being in our bodies is an important part of life on this earth. We are given a body to feel, heal and experience life.

Here are a few ways to bring yourself back into your body;

  1. Swimming is a great way to ground the body. We are 98% water so being in water our body can integrate the energy. Swimming we are protected in the womb of the earth.
  2. Walking bare feet on the earth. This centers and ground are energy with the earth. A concept called earthing is all about resting the body part in pain on the earth to use the grounding electromagnetic fields to heal. Simple technique is just to take off your shoes and walk on the grass.
  3. Yoga. Yoga is a great way to get back into the body by breathing and mindfully connecting to movement with breath.
  4. Vocal Toning. Using the vibrations of your voice to move in ground energy. Certain chants like OM/AUM can help bring a centring vibration back into the body.
  5. Sex. Sex allows us to feel back in our bodies. Being present focused and then a release into deep relaxation.
  6. Eating. Eating nourishing rooted food helps us come back into our bodies. Specifically root vegetables like potatoes, carrots, beets, sweet potatoes can help us center.

The natural state of the heart is moving the vibrations from internally to externally. The vibrations of sounds in our external environment move from external into the heart. With this knowledge anything that you experience in sound moves into your heart. Any thoughts that you have create a vibration that also move from the heart outward. Take care in the thoughts you have because they create a vibration outward. Take care in the sounds you listen to as they create a vibration inward.

The cardinal gate holder of the west gate is the white lion. The west gate represents the afterlife.  When the white lion appears to you, you have been give the key to this gate. The white lion may appear in a dream, vision or you have been in contact with someone that has worked with the white lions. Once this gate has opened you will have access to the afterlife.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to restore some vibrations in Rebecca Whiteraven’s soundbath. This monthly soundbath has been part of my self care practice for the last year. soundbath or sound healings can be referred to as passive healing. This means the body and the mind do not have to actively work to heal. The frequencies of the instruments played and the high vibrations of the guide channeled into the space do the work for you.

This was my recent experience with sound healing:

As I began to move deeper into my breath I allowed myself to release all temptation to move. Stillness was welcomed. I continued to stay in my breath and rise above my thought vibrations. It was in this moment, the moment I rose above my thought vibrations that I could begin to feel the sound vibrations moving deep into my bodies tissues. At a point the sound vibrations moved so deeply into my muscles that I felt deep pain. I honoured that feeling and allowed myself to feel the deep pain of my body. When I honoured it, it released and I moved deeper into meditation. Many times during this sound bath I would leave my body and become the sound vibrations moving around the room, the sky, the universe. When we returned to the normal sounds in the studio it was hard from me to get back into my body. I felt like I was floating away. When I got home I went for a swim and that helped ground my body. The next few days were great as I felt opened and relaxed in my body, mind and soul.

Inner Revolution does monthly soundhealings should you like to participate please leave us a comment.

The vision of Inner Revolution Yoga Studio

Inner Revolution started out as an idea to bring yoga and spinning together. As a spin and yoga teacher, Brenna found so many benefits of practicing yoga after spin class. The name was Inner Revolution as yoga was the inner and revolution was the turning of the wheels. As the vision grew and came into reality the inner revolution was really about the change and revolution of what was happening inside of Brenna’s heart. A softening a fight against the ego. As Brenna continues to heal her inner revolution is turning into peace and joy. As she creates a sacred space for others to find their inner revolutions!

This is a great question. Authenticity is about being truly you. So how do you bring you into your yoga practice? The first tip is to start every class with a body scan to see where your body is in that present moment. Once you have an idea where your body is you can move into the body and start where it is. If we start where we think we are without first checking or tuning in we can disregulate our energy. This means we can block or create excess energy that will put us out of balance. If we tune or check into the body first, find out where we truly are and start from there we can balance our energy with our practice.
