This month we take a look at posture. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali define “asana” as “[a position that] is steady and comfortable”. The purpose of asana traditionally is to open the body so that we can sit in meditation for longer periods.
This month we look at how to deepen our posture practice through joyful discipline. To begin to have a well rounded posture practice we need to ensure 7 aspects. These aspects are traditional hatha postures. Exceptions to this are Yin practices.
